I worked as a bank teller for 5 months and a learned so many things about it. It's a mind blowing and risky job which you really need to stay focus in your work because your job involves receiving and disbursing money, I mean big amounts of money. During balancing your cash and records, when your cash is short you need to troubleshoot and scan all your transactions or else you will pay for it. If your cash is over you need to make a report proven why the money is over. You will need to make a report on your daily balancing. Aside from that, you will need also to be friendly to your clients whether they snob or smile at you. You need to help and assist them and give them right financial statement of their savings/loan and you need also to endorse the products/services of the company. I have experienced all of these situations, I even cried, gave me headaches but in the end, this job made me so challenging and productive every single day. Too sad, I was just only a sub-teller where I had a 5 months contract only. I also worked as a cashier and an assistant manager in a Coffee&Library; shop where I applied my tellering skills. I was also task to check the products like ingredients, cakes, pasta for inventory and list all the products that is lacking for purchasing. I would also welcome customers with my smiles and sometimes I would be the one to get order from them.
