Job Overview

A position exists for an Online Journalist/Blogger for a news website which is yet to be launched.
The site - www.waronradicalislam.com - will require online research work to find online news reports involving radical Islam, Islamic State/ISIS/ISIL and other Islamic terror groups, Islamic terrorism and controversial issues emanating from Islam including shariah law, forced child marriages, female genital mutilation, honor killings, anti-Semitism, etc. The successful applicant will have to post the relevant news reports to the website's news page.
Along with this there will facebook and twitter accounts associated with this website which the successful applicant will have to update at least 4 to 6 times a day.
Other tasks may be required from time to time including managing e-mails from the websites, updating website content and writing original news articles.
Regular contact with the websites' owner via Skype is essential.
An understanding of WordPress may be needed.
The successful applicant should have excellent internet research skills, experience in journalism, familiarity with social media marketing and access to a computer and reliable internet connection.
