A private family with substantial investment holdings and some active businesses is seeking an organized, highly-skilled part-time controller with at least four years of experience. There is a physical office in Seattle but the 6 member staff are largely virtual. Controller would be assisted by a bookkeeper and an admin, report to the Administrative Head and work closely with the Chief Investment Officer and outside tax preparer.

Requirements of the Position:

Experience working with tax preparers on complicated tax returns Oversee completion of all tax processes including tax returns and K-1's Management of the administrative side of multiple relationships with banks and brokers General financial statement reporting: balance sheets, cash flow schedules, personal financial statements, etc. Generate customized reports for measuring portfolio performance Manage Payable and Receivable with Bookkeeper's and admin's assistance . Approximately 30 hours a week.

Required Credentials and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Unimpeachable integrity (complete background check required) well versed in Quickbooks, good grounding in accounting, cash control procedures, very well versed in excel,  detail oriented ability to triage, troubleshoot, prioritize with minimal supervision. Continually look for ways to improve all office functions. Flexible, willing to pitch in where required.

Desirable Skills:

Partnership Accounting Experience with Financial Navigator, Advent, Private-I and similar. Experience with Treasury and Wealth Passport (proprietary Northern Trust products.) Strong technical skills. Patience to read technical manuals and rules and regulations as needed. Experience in both creating and monitoring office procedures in a regulated financial environment
